About Me

Hi, call me G. I study physics and live in Japan. I have written a lot about the MEXT scholarship that I was accepted for, but I also sometimes post about studying in other countries, learning Japanese and general academic stuff.

I don't post often but I created this blog because I needed somewhere to put this information which I hope might be useful to others. If you have a question for me, please leave a comment somewhere (you can do it anonymously if you wish).

  1. Hello, G! I just wanted to say THANK YOU for your blog, it helps me a lot! I am in the middle of the application process for an Embassy Reccomended scholarship, and I have a quite silly question. One of my publications is a huge scientific poster (my research theme is in medicine, neuroscience) which contains a lot of pictures and charts with labels. So I reprinted in a smaller A3 format because on A4 was unreadable and too small. I would attach it as a reference of my latest research. Do you think this may be a problem?...Thank you!

    1. Hi,

I think there's no problem if you want to include it. But unless your embassy specifically asks for proof of your latest research, it's not necessary for your application.

In the first section of the "field of study"/research plan, you should describe your previous and current research, but there is no need to go into great detail.
